The Oct 7th attack specifically targeted the Nova Music Festival filled with unarmed civilians. All of the adult dead could be called former IDF because service is mandatory in Israel. Like Bernie I realize that the consequences of that event have been disproportionate to the tune of a thousand times in magnitude, but that doesn’t mean either of us have to side with or condone the actions of Hamas, nor would that bring support for our cause of ending this war and recognizing Palestine.
