doesn’t really look much different between the two instances. the theme differences are minor. the current default theme on piefed.world is even a bit more compact than the quokk.au default theme.

there are also user settings for more compact post listings, e.g. the variant with smaller thumbnails:

and after writing all this i realized you were referring to the bottom navigation. we updated several piefed versions in the last few days, if this is still the case for you i recommend raising this as a bug directly at https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi/issues

12·2 months agothey don’t seem to be moderating at all, nor interacting with anything on the fediverse other than spamming to their own communities, likely automated. we will defed from them soon if i don’t receive a response to my pm. i’m aware of at least one other instance admin unsuccessfully attempting to reach out to them already due to lack of moderation.

21·4 months agoI changed the password after leaking that screenshot
presumably in the time between leaking and changing it? once the password is changed the old password won’t work anymore, and neither will any of the previous login tokens.
pretty much, yeah. different people, different programming languages, some feature differences, etc. but still the same content.
nobody needs to move to another platform. both lemmy and piefed show the same content, think of it more like using a different client that also has different features. both lemmy.world and piefed.world will continue to exist.

1·2 years agoUs not upgrading has nothing to do with making a point.
We’re aiming to run a stable instance, which can come at the cost of delayed updates.
We didn’t update to 0.19.4, and a few weeks later 0.19.5 was released with a number of critical bugfixes.
0.19.6 will have several more fixes for issues introduced in 0.19.4+, such as a fix for remote moderators updating local communities, allowing admins to filter modlog entries by moderator, as well as some performance issues reported by other instances.
We usually wait for other instances to run the latest version for some time to allow bug reports to surface before we update ourselves.
what?
