Is it bad that I want that era of Mac monitor specifically so I can mod it and use it as a general monitor. Same goes from those clear plastic colored ones.
I think that’s specifically an iMac. you can, in fact use them as thunderbolt monitors.

My wife still uses a couple of cinema displays for photography editing, but on mac. Putting them on PC has been hit or miss.
I use one, just standalone to play videos. I’d recommend it, they’re really good monitors and decent speakers
