i’m wondering if there was a federated or activitypub based linktree alternative? i current use linktree obviously but i’m growing tired of his bloatedness and would love to support an open alternative… mostly just since i have a collection of threadiverse accounts for different things and would love to have one place for them all :)
https://notifly.cc/ soon to be fedi. I have a premium code if you need.
Linktree is just a static site with a list of links. You could do the exact same thing using Hugo as a site builder and GitHub Pages for free hosting. All it would cost you is a custom domain name if you wanted one. Not sure activitypub brings anything useful to the table here.
What about an AI-enabled ActivityPub linktree running on blockchain technology in the cloud?
github pages is free but it is owned by microsoft, how is this better than linktree?
It’s just a git repo, that could me deployed elsewhere. Their servers should be open source if I remember correctly
edit: they use https://jekyllrb.com/
There is too much obsessions about making everything fediverse compatible even when it doesn’t make any sense
well, for everything in tge fediverse, it could stay on your instance
