It’s not a lot and it’s mostly just fields. The cost for Russia was huge. Ukraine did well with their defensive tactics.

Still, the situation for Ukraine is dire. Russia can continue with this for some time. Sure the sanctions hurt, the dynamic sanctions Ukraine has imposed as well and there is a small sense of growing discontent inside Russia, but still Putin is nowhere near at the point where he would need to stop (he will probably not know when that point comes anyway).

No they can’t, they’re suffering shutdowns, slowdowns and guerilla action in their own country. You can only throw so many young men into the meat grinder before you end up having open rebellion which in this case likely means assassination attempts which are fairly likely to have already started but been surprised in the news.

You’re kidding right? Do you not remember the tank battalion revolt? That’s not a good sign for Putin.

There are plenty of bad signs. But we are not there yet. Most people in Russia are not bothered by the war yet. The economy is bad, but not crashing. There is no panic. The recruiting is slowing down but still working.

We are not there yet. Might be years away when the average Russian publicly sais anything against the dictator.

If recruiting were working they wouldn’t be borrowing troops from NK or dumping convicted criminals into their ranks.

They already are what are you talking about?

What are you talking about, NK troops are a part of it, criminals were there since the start.

People have been saying Russia is just about the collapse since the start of the war. Yet here we are.

Most military and economics experts say the we aren’t there yet. Economy will continue to go worse, but it won’t crash for a while. Military is going worse, but current tactics don’t include a lot of material, just infiltrators, so the costs aren’t the big anyway.

We aren’t there yet. You don’t have to trust me, just stop trusting hype masters on YouTube that live from people on hopium.

Yeah that doesn’t imply recruiting numbers are being met or implies they aren’t.

I didn’t say Russia will collapse, it likely won’t. Putin on the other hand is pretty likely to get killed or hit every wheel as the bus runs him over.

They also said it would be less than a year, how’d that work out?

I don’t watch YouTube but sure project away.

“We have won just about enough ground to bury our dead.” - supposedly from a Soviet general after the Winter War.
