Fatburger is a California based fast-ish food chain. They are better than McDonalds but also more expensive and slower and not any nicer to eat/order at. Their burgers are configurable with a lot of options, but in the end you end up paying restaurant prices for a burger that isn’t as good and isn’t much faster.
A) The line. I hate lines. Even though In-N-Out does do a great job of moving the line fast, I still don’t have any desire to sit in my car breathing the exhaust of 50 other cars to get a fast food burger. I’d rather order ahead and go pick it up.
B) It’s better than McDonalds, but not by much. It’s a hard truth that people will get super offended about, but In-N-Out is just a slightly better McDonalds. People not from CA see the hype about it and are disappointed after trying it, thinking it will be like a Five Guys or Habit or something. It isn’t. It’s truly just a fast food burger done well.
20-30 years ago they were awesome. Used to be around the speed and price of five guys but way better. They’ve been on a steady decline for a long time now. All of them near me have been shut down for a while, I’m kind of surprised they’re still around in any significant numbers.
Mediocre burger that ends up costing $16 when you get a fry and drink. There are sit down burger restaurants not charging as much, that are much better. TBH a Philly cheesesteak from Jersey Mike’s is better and cheaper.
Wtf is a fatburger
Bankrupt, apparently
They were growing. Think Chipotle but burgers. But $15 for a burger. No thank you.
Chipotle but burgers is 5 Guys.
Fine Fat Burger was the Qdoba of burgers.
How is Qdoba not bankrupt? They are always like a worse version of the other Mexican food chains in the area.
Holy fuck, if I want to pay $15 for a burger, I have a number of places around my city I can get a great one, and none of them are a fast food joint.
It’s more like $10. I’m gonna be sad if my local one closes, I like Fatburger.

Sounds like Killer Burger
If you were already in California would you not just go to in-and-out?

C) I don’t like the fries from In-N-Out.
C) agreed the fries are like cardboard.
But McD has nothing like animal style AFAIK. I am not from Cali and I really look forward to in and out for some reason.
I never do the drive-thru tho
In n out is wildly overrated
it’s a fast food burger, they’re all the same.
yes, even X-regional chain.
Doesn’t sound good

Jersey Mike’s is owned by the worst kind of people. Don’t give them your money
I’ve been looking into this and I haven’t found anything strange or suspicious about the company. Do you have a source?
Blackstone… Are you joking…
Never heard of that until now, and that was fairly recent. I’ve been going there over a decade. Nothing has changed IMO.
