    moot sold 4chan before /pol/ was launched. It’s possible he didn’t want to play ball with Epstein and sold it for his safety though.

    My personal opinion was that it went down hill after the sale.

      no Moot left the site in Jan of 2015 and handed operation over to like a few 4chan mods while he was looking for a buyer. I remember his last Q&A on the site after the fact. /pol/ launched in 2011.

        Didn’t he play around with a /pol/ board, but shut it down quickly? I thought it was Hiroyuki that brought it back.

          possibly? I’m not sure. I know it was launched in the fall of 2011 shortly after the docs say he met with Epstein. Then apparently moot turned down a second meeting the following January. so maybe /pol/ also went away then? can’t remember.

            Given these new revelations, I wouldn’t be surprised if getting contacted by Epstein was a motivator for selling and getting out of the game. I remember when he was called to testify before congress, he didn’t want to do it thought he could turn it down. He really only founded the site to get hentai.
