    For sure, but I was still surprised to see that renewables are as low as they are in the mix here tbh. And I figured they would have at least reduced coal more in favor of less polluting fuels like oil or natural gas.

      That would be because China’s energy demand has also increased by more than they can roll out rebnewables. They’re still having to burn extra coal and gas to cover their growth but they’re almost at peak now and they expect energy demand to level off in the next few years and can start to scale back on fossils.
