Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Sunday that, under orders from him and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the IDF will accelerate the demolition of Lebanese homes in frontline villages along the border, “in line with the model we applied in Gaza’s Rafah and Beit Hanoun,” which have been largely flattened.

Uh… the West Bank doesn’t border Egypt. You’d be cresting an Egyptian enclave separated from the rest of Egypt by Israeli territory. And anyway, that land originally belonged to Jordan.
In the proposal, Israel would have to allow Egypt access by land to the West Bank. Alternately, Egypt could be given a land corridor through Israel. This land would count as part of the land given Egypt in exchange for Israel being given the Gaza Strip.
I’ll just leave this here as an example of why having one country split in two is a bad idea https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Pakistan
Egypt is not being split in two. It is being given the West Bank enlarged by land equivalent to the Gaza Strip in exchange for Israel getting a large chunk of land in the Sinai and the Gaza Strip. The continental US is separated from Alaska. The UK is composed of Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England.
