The House is working on a five-year highway reauthorization bill that would authorize $580 billion ahead of the current law expiration on September 30.
They don’t even pick up their blown tires anymore because they are on such tight schedules they can’t stop, I had to avoid two in the middle of the damn highway yesterday. I contend we need a separate system for trucks, or go back to rail, there are just way too many trucks on the road today tearing up everything.
Big fuckin trucks provide a valuable service to society, though. Even if we had better rail, big fuckin trucks would still be a massive contributor to moving goods
