    Vast expanses of asphalt and concrete trap heat, while large, densely packed buildings disrupt wind flow and intensify the effect.

    Yeah, why are especially US cities always a gray desert? A few green strips with trees inbetween are not prohibitively expensive and help not only with beauty but also with heat.

      Green strips cost money and don’t directly generate profit.

      Therefore either control and tax it, or destroy it so something “of value” can be placed there.

      If that sounds stupid and self destructive… That’s because it is.
