Sounds more like the Indian government wanted an apology for Facebook removing a state propaganda video, and added the other apology requirement for PR.

Earlier on Wednesday, Meta representatives also met IT secretary S Krishnan, who gave them three days to apologise for removing PM Narendra Modi’s video on exam reforms for five hours and for hosting sex abuse content on its platforms.

Oh, they don’t - that’s why they don’t talk about CSAM prevention until they have no other choice. Authoritarianism uses “it’s for the children” to justify their motives, but when something authoritarian can’t be excused (like forcing Facebook to promote their propaganda), then they attach something like this as an excuse.

i.e. they don’t care, they just know normal people do.

That’s not actually true now that I think about it.

Fasch all care very much about csam, and probably talk about it a lot. Just not where you and I can see.

Mark Zuckerberg apologies for child sex abuse and deepfake content, then goes back to making more money off them.

Admission of guilt, he’s responsible for generating CSAM and should face consequences for his actions

Billionaires don’t face consequences in the usa. Maybe in Europe or Asia, but not here.

And especially not under the trump regime.

It’s the same in Europe and Asia, it’s just their billionaires aren’t celebrities so no one gives a fuck.

The fine should have been 50% of revenue and mandatory third party oversight.

The fine should have been locking it and its family in its bunkers and filling them with concrete.

Zuckerberg is nearing death penalty levels of criminality. Fuck fines. Imprison these parasites, at best.

This is the shit that happens when you have a Fail Upwards CEO that cannot be forced out through legal means.

As a shareholder, you just bleed.
