Article says the best view will be in Spain, but that’s unintended irony since the sun has already disappeared there due to wildfire smoke :(.
I’m on Mallorca to watch this, and the sky is mostly clear here, but the eclipse is very close before sunset, and mountains make the number of places to watch limited, while the local authorities are closing a lot of roads.
I really hope we’ll be able to see it from our balcony.
I’m on vacation off the coast of Spain specifically for this! Excited!
We also planned for this, but we’re more inland, near Zaragoza. I hope we find a good spot

So this will still be pretty cool, the lack of sun might make a noticeable temperature drop.
The temperature doesn’t even seem to drop here at night. And the eclipse being just before sunset also reduces its impact.
Of I got it right, we might get some cooler breeze, but i don’t think the temperatures will stop significantly
I went to the total eclipse two years ago near Toronto, and it was a sunny spring day. We were at this sandy trail parking lot and the difference between the feeling of the sun’s radiant heat, that heat reflecting off the ground and the lack of it during totality was noticeable.
I love how what once was seen as an omen of divine displeasure is now a curiosity with the chance of mild relief. “Thanks god, if you could keep making that angry face for another nine weeks please?”
I’m in France living east of the big ass mountain in the middle of the country, I’m not sure if we’ll be able to catch it
