Holy shit, I closed the browser out of anger and haven’t taken any screenshots, but hopefully someone will reproduce what I’ve seen.
I got prompted to take part in a survey upon opening Firefox, so I did.
First screen asked what kinds of electronic devices I use to browse and how often. No biggie, reasonable question.
The second screen appeared with one statement and choice answers ranging from “strongly disagree” to “strongly agree”. I do not remember it verbatim, but the gist of it was “It’s okay to share user data with advertisers as long as the advertised content gets more relevant to you.”. Upon clicking “strong disagree”, a new statement appeared. Again, not verbatim, but it was something like “I have a vivid imagination.”, agree/disagree.
WTF tech bros. What is even the point in such implication? It looks like they are trying to vent their personal frustration with “nuts” not willing to share personal information with who knows who, than to actually get constructive feedback.
Truly worthy of NFT/crypto/“AI” bros.
Please, if you get the prompt, get the screenshots. I can’t find a way to retake this survey.
