It’s the same in Canada and has gotten completely out of control… I always knew climate change would drive food scarcity and higher prices on crops that cant withstand inclement weather but the greedflation tacked on has been a nasty surprise. Portions get smaller and smaller, prices climb. Inflation never ends yet profit goes up every year.

In Canada we are spending like 120% of our income on groceries and it isnt just the inflation but the compounding shrinkflation with climate crisis causing inclement weather that means crop insecurity…
It aint looking good and at this point companies are going to have to realize they cant profit if nobody has any money to spend
Municipal subreddits and local subreddits are absolutely astroturfed, any hot-button topic would always be flooded by hot shit takes that (before they removed your ability to see post history) would prove to be people running through different city subreddits blasting agitprop
