Republicans in the House and Senate are not going to impeach anyone. They are getting everything they’ve wanted for decades. Why would they interfere particularly when doing so would make the rabid MAGA voters turn on them?

My hunch is that the shooter, whoever it was, dumped the gun, silencer, and manifesto somewhere and the cops found it. When they decided they had the shooter in custody, they ‘found’ the evidence in his possession.

I replied at about the same time as you, with similar comment, but I wanted to add that she didn’t ‘find’ the gun and silencer until she took the bag on an 11 minute ride to the station in her car. How do you search a bag for a possible bomb and miss a handgun and silencer? That is an incompetent search or the gun wasn’t there during the initial search and was added later.

Every single Republican in the House and Senate is responsible for this. They are allowing Trump to do literally anything he wants militarily. No evidence has been provided to oversight to justify these attacks in the first place, and now a clear war crime has been committed and still they do nothing. Not only are they unwilling to impeach him, they are unwilling to take any steps to rein in his military abuses in any way at all.

Non-fascists in the military who don’t like where this nation is going are bailing out. Fascists in the military are getting nice retention bonuses. And oodles of new fascists are signing up because they like the odds that that they will get to murder people, maybe even liberals, gays, and trans people in US cities.

It’s basic libertarianism. They want to get rid of all regulations and let businesses do whatever they want. The bottom line is all that matters to them. They want to remove the requirements for these safety features will make it less expensive to manufacture cars, but it won’t lower the costs. Manufactures will just pocket those savings without passing them on to the consumer. And then they’ll move on to removing more regulations.

They’re not missing the point. They are actively obfuscating the real point so they can use the issue to push their agenda.
