Its the age old story of empires. They are all built on exploitation. US empire, Soviet Empire, British Empire, Chinese Empire, Caliphates, Roman, Greek, Ottomans, Israeli. If we want a better world, we need to stop giving small groups of people executive power. Party politics, organized religion, monarchy’s, corporations, they all need to go.

So it would be best to choose the option that gives you the most freedom to avoid government and corporate overreach after purchase. Where it is developed or manufactured is less important compared to that.
