The pigeon sequence was epic, they really know how to build suspense out of 15 mins of a pigeon chilling on a ledge. I liked how Ben and Adam basically did a mini DofE to start the episode too.
I also thought last episode that the time trap would never be that useful, but this episode Sam immediately proved me wrong :D
I really thought the swan thing would be great, didn’t expect them to do it so quickly!
I was so convinced Sam had found the meta with that swan move and then they found the laziest pigeons in the world. The time trap move was great but it still feels a little underpowered, ten minutes an hour isn’t a huge penalty at all. Would’ve been great though if he could’ve cast the express curse twice and ping-ponged them back and forth between London and Coventry for ages.
I hope someone goes to Wales or Scotland soon (I assume NI is a no go because of there being so few rail lines + being separated by the sea). Or else it’ll just be Hide + Seek England.

Yeah, it was pretty underwhelming considering how much strategy went into it. It felt like it deserved about 30 mins/hour to me. It’d be fun to up the ante on the seekers and pressure them to handle it sooner too.

I hope so too. It’d be a pretty depressing (but accurate) assessment of the transport system if the runners keep getting pulled south with better frequency and more route choices.
DofE?
I was honestly still not convinced in this episode that the Time Trap was all that useful. The real value was the Express curse.
I wonder how the Time Trap scales in other scales of the home game.
DofE?
It’s a mini expedition some school children do in the UK, often walking through paths like the one they went through. With the massive backpacks the vibe was similar!

Yeah, it should get more of a reward I think. The strategy was really cool but the reward from the time trap didn’t seem worth it.
Oh, right! Duke of Edinburgh? Yeah I’m familiar with that. I think my former school (an international school that uses a UK-based curriculum up until but not including years 12 & 13) introduced it near the time I graduated. I just was not familiar with the acronym, and could only think of Department of Energy.
Ah yes that’s the one, I realise now that I didn’t exactly help by not expanding the acronym in my reply :D
Thankfully your explanation combined with a Google search was enough to get it.
Still haven’t even found time to watch episode 1 but looking forward to this one as well.
