Donald Trump was “most culpable” for the January 6 riot and would have been convicted in court had the case gone to trial, according to explosive testimony from former special counsel Jack Smith, released Wednesday afternoon by the House Judiciary Committee.

Smith led both Justice Department prosecutions of Trump: the first over the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters after he lost the 2020 election, and the second over his alleged concealment of classified materials at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.

He testified before the Judiciary panel in a closed-door session earlier in December as the committee investigates whether Trump was politically targeted by the Justice Department under Attorney General Merrick Garland and President Joe Biden.

Smith was appointed in Nov of 22 and filed the first indictment in June of 23. If you’re addressing your comment to Garland, then you need to actually name him because this post is about Jack Smith.

Even bigger than the last Democratic administration failing to send anyone to prison for the Iraq war, illegal torture programs, illegal assassination programs, or the 2008 financial crisis

If we ever want to get this country to stop being a shithole the Democratic party is the one that needs to be fixed

        …okay?

Why do people always act like it’s such a gotcha that Democratic politicians have sucked?

They’re all fucking worthless, both parties.

But only one is in power right now and actively tearing down the structures of our democracy. Until that’s dealt with, I’m sorry, but addressing shit someone did in office 20 years ago is just not the priority.

The Republicans are in power and actively tearing down the structures of our democracy because the Democratic party allows them to. The Republican party can only be dealt with through a more effective Democratic party. Any conversation about what the Republicans have done and stopping them from doing more absolutely must reckon with how we are going to fix the Democratic party first or it is going to inevitably be a complete waste of time and effort that puts us in an even worse place than where we are at now (see; 2024, 2016, etc.).

Absolutely Democrats need to step up, clean house, and get their priorities in order, but needing to revitalize and organize the party doesn’t involve going back 20 years and pointing fingers at what people should have done or said back then.

What I’m interested in is what they’re going to propose and vote for going forward.

I would say about as big as LBJ finding out like a month before the 1968 election (which put Nixon in power) that candidate Nixon had been illegally coordinating with his friend Henry Kissinger at the State Department to undermine peace talks that could have ended the Vietnam War and decided to just sweep that little bit of treason under the rug rather than deal with the headache of arresting the GOP’s candidate for president right before an election

Because he won. This is all over with. This is an enemy he’s already defeated, and he’s not UPSET, he’s HAPPY to see his beaten enemy lamenting about how he’s been beaten. He’s THRILLED about this.

Was Trump culpable? Absolutely. 100%. And he should be in prison. But the useless asshats did absolutely nothing for four years, probably because they were afraid of making him a martyr, and now it’s simply impossible that he can ever be held criminally accountable for anything again. Regardless of what happens from here on out, that stain is on them.

If only America had united to settle for some pro-corporate, fought against de-segregation, thinks abortion should be outlawed, do nothing moderate after Trump’s first term just so trump could be held accountable…

    What’s that?!

We did unite to elect the historically unpopular do-nothing moderate who spent 40+ years trying to win a presidential primary?

    And he just did nothing?!

Who could have ever seen that coming…

Due to the 2020–2021 illegal election-equipment breaches, on December 4, 2023, twenty-two computer scientists, election-security experts, and voter-advocacy organizations sent a Duty to Warn letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, Special Counsel Jack Smith, and CISA Director Jen Easterly.

Their warning was blunt: “The multistate effort to unlawfully obtain copies of voting system software poses serious threats to election security and national security and constitutes a potential criminal conspiracy of enormous consequences.”³³

The letter named those involved and documented confirmed illegal breaches involving Dominion Voting Systems and Election Systems & Software, which together tabulate more than 70% of U.S. votes.

The experts warned that stolen election software could be used to study vulnerabilities, develop malware, and fuel coordinated disinformation campaigns. The letter closed with a stark conclusion: “Urgent implications for the 2024 election and beyond.” The FBI, DOJ, and Smith’s office declined to comment. CISA did not respond. No federal investigation has been publicly announced.

Then, on November 13, 2024, the same election security experts sent another Duty to Warn letter—this time to Vice President Kamala Harris—alerting her that voting systems had been breached by Trump allies in 2020 and 2021 and urging her to seek recounts in key states to ensure election verification.³⁴

And the Democratic Party continues to remain silent.

Now, a year after the 2024 election, Vice President Kamala Harris has put into words what so many Americans feel:

“Both parties have failed to hold the public’s trust… The people feel that the very institutions designed to support them have failed them. They are not wrong.”³⁵

The Democratic Party continues to hemorrhage public trust as its leadership attempts to gaslight voters into believing that Elon Musk played no role in manipulating the 2024 election to keep himself—and Donald Trump—out of prison.

Now we know the depth of Trump’s ties to Russia. We know the Department of Justice was aware long before 2016. And we know he should never have been permitted to run—but when the system itself is compromised, accountability collapses.³⁶

At the same time, party leadership has shielded elites named in the Epstein files³⁷ to prevent exposure of a decades-long sex-trafficking operation implicating powerful donors across party lines.³⁸

The elite are protecting the elite, and the American people are experiencing an awakening.

What To Do About a Stolen Election

The Constitution doesn’t give us a “redo the election” button—but it does give us the mechanisms to remove a falsely seated administration and install the rightfully elected president. These tools exist for moments exactly like this.

This “Good Trouble Blueprint” begins with mass pressure in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. These Democratic-led swing states must immediately authorize independent, third-party hand-count audits of the 2024 ballots. Blue states must also act now to abandon electronic voting systems and transition to paper ballots and hand-counted elections—while they still retain that authority under states’ rights.

Impeach Donald Trump under Article II, Section 4. If full congressional support is lacking, disqualify him under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. It takes only one member of Congress to recognize the disqualification.

If states are stalling investigations or audits, file bond claims against state legislators and attorneys general who refuse to protect the electorate. This compels state-level investigations into the irregularities, Musk/DOGE, and forensic audits in MI, WI, MN, PA, and beyond.

Invoke Section 3 of the 14th Amendment against all participants and legislators involved in both the January 6 insurrection and/or the 2024 stolen election. A stolen election is a rebellion against the Constitution.

From here: Democrats sweep the 2026 midterms and special elections, and a new Congress enforces the Constitution—refusing to seat disqualified officials under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment and removing those who refuse to resign under Article II, Section 4. Congress then passes a 2024 Election Correction Act, voids the fraudulent certification, accepts corrected electors from audited states, and swears in Kamala Harris as the legitimately elected president.

Will this be easy? No. Has it been done before? Also no. Do we owe it to future generations to try? Unequivocally yes.

We are asking our leaders—and everyone with a platform—to acknowledge the stolen election and “Do something.” We have constitutional avenues to remove this entire illegitimate administration. It’s time to use them.

And readers, hold on to your hope. This is not left vs. right—it’s bottom vs. top. Again, we don’t need permission to enforce the Constitution. We just need courage.
