I really don’t like everyone screeching about “capitalist societal structures” when we have real serious problems like the rise of authoritarianism across the world, an ever smaller group of people’s wealth dwarfing the rest of the planet’s combined wealth, climate change, etc.
Rather than come up with some new never-tried-before system that will magically materialize when we tear down current systems of law, we should be trying something more sensible and easily palatable to the majority like promoting true democracy and taxing the rich.
You mean we need to solve the problems created by “capitalist societal structures” like “the rise of authoritarianism across the world, an ever smaller group of people’s wealth dwarfing the rest of the planet’s combined wealth, climate change, etc.”
I see you didn’t make it to the second paragraph, how sad.
If you believe that “taxing the rich and a truly democratic society” can exist within a capitalist societal structure, then my friend, you are sadly mistaken
I’ve seen them with my own eyes, but what I’ve never seen is any other societal structure prosper. Can you present any examples?
Oh I don’t know. Maybe refer to the fact that 98% of all human history has occured without capitalism, where as capitalism has managed to nearly make the world unlivable in just over a couple hundred years while also convincing people that is is the only solution to the problems it has caused.
You’re saying you want to return to ages of divine right of kings? Well great news, we have dictatorships today like North Korea and China so we already know living under them fucking sucks and you can abandon that idea.
Oh now I see, you are one of those that think capitalism is a system of government. May want to learn the difference.
