I thought that the LAPD wasn’t supposed to be assisting ICE? All these LAPD assholes need to be fired. And the ICE agents need to be fired, out of a canon, into the sun.

He damaged property. Now, what they should be doing is arresting the driver for an attempted hit and run.

It was actually part of why Dragnet was made. The LAPD in the 30s was seen as a gang of corrupt thugs (because it WAS) and they decided to talk up Jack Webb to see about polishing up their reputation via copaganda.

          It obviously didn’t work.

Now they have The Rookie, pure distilled Conservative Copaganda, making the LAPD look like a competent, caring outfit.

It also comes complete with embedded Amazon advertisements woven INTO the script. That’s a new thing on ABC, I’ve spotted it in an number of shows. A character has to get something quickly, but they are too busy on the case, on a stakeout or something, so they have a bright idea, and say “I’ll just order it on Amazon! Hey look! Free shipping!”

That gives them the chance to revisit it later in the plot, when the packages arrive, and they can say"WOW! My packages from Amazon got here FAST! They saved the day! That was so easy!"

Yeah, they’re doing that now on ABC.

That’s what this shit show is about?
I couldn’t understand how it got any screen time at all - and seemingly doesn’t want to die

To answer your question, I strongly believe that yes, you did think that. Glad I could help.

Honestly, he probably would have been shot by the ICE officer. Real cops can sometimes asses threats and respond appropriately. In this case it looks like they stepped in to prevent things from escalating to deadly force.

Of course they over reacted and it made it look like a clown show. There was no reason for the ICE officer to reach in this situation. They have to be the worst trained officers I have ever seen.

Driving this fast and close to human beings is disgusting. The conservatives have been chomping at the bit to make it legal to run over protestors for awhile now. This disregard for human life is seen time and time again by ICE.

The idea that you can be murdered for temporarily impending someone is what their twisted minds desire. An excuse to kill someone with your vehicle for inconveniencing you.
