    Whoa. I was too young to vote at the time, but I wouldn’t have voted for him because whenever he talked he sounded like an evangelical preacher.

      Maybe because he was one? Unless there is some subtle distinction between “evangelic preacher” and “reverant” I’m too atheist for to understand.

        Reverend is just another word for pastor/preacher. He was the leader of his church, whichever word people prefer to use.

          He was a reverend, but was he evangelical? Many Baptists are, at least vaguely, but not all.

          I genuinely don’t know.

            The episcopalians use Reverend for their preacher, and they’re like the polar opposites of evangelicals.
