If you go ahead and list all the safeguards and double checks of any computer voting of the state of your choice. I think if you try to do this in good faith you will quickly realize that there are many unknowns. Or you will realize you have to simply accept you are out of your depth of knowledge. This applies to red and blue states. In the end, you have to take it on faith things are proper.

The fact that one can count votes and in a way all can be satisfied about, like in the Uk or France, simply is ignored. Indeed, once someone has faith in the process, these details are not important.

And this is not just a few people in the thread here, who have strong faith in the computer voting, it’s a political wall that stops all progress.

    completely contradicts the exit polling

National use of exit polling, by media companies, to predict federal races, stopped a few years ago because it was too inaccurate. However many do not know that.

Before that, there was a lot of talk about American exceptionalism and shy republican voters who were too embarrassed to admit they voted for the gop. A phenomenon that is not seen in other countries who also have similar parties.

This discussion went out of fashion when exit poll predictions stopped. Most people don’t even know what they are now.

You might look at any of the dozens dumb lawsuits filed by trump in the wake of the 2020 election…

Trump was very careful to make baseless accusations without proof and make things as ridiculous as possible.

His actions severely hurt the efforts in some states to remove election machines and replace them with hand counted ballots such as Virginia did.

Notice he did nothing constructive in his sabotage; he could have easily promoted more transparent vote counts. Instead he attacked mail in ballots, which are very reliably counted.

I was very much invested in promoting hand counted ballots during that time, so I saw the effects. It was very sad.

I’m not sure if you are aware, but most of the discrepancies were absolutely harming democratic races in senate, house and presidential general elections; and in the gop primaries.

Which is why I said, if progressives were able to see this as an issue, the gop would have never won control of the presidency or congress the last 10 years or more.

But it’s not much a discussion in politics

Honestly, like I said earlier, these conspiracy theories don’t match up to basic common sense.

Now you’re arguing that trump is actually in on this conspiracy but is sneaky enough to have never mentioned it etc.

It just gets mind boggling silly at this point.
