In the post you’re replying to I am just specifically talking about the question of whether Hamas killed civilians or not, because the post I replied to claimed:
Its been very well proven Israel slaughtered many of its own citizens that day, not Hamas.
It’s completely consistent for me to say that I regard Israel’s genocide against Palestinians as wrong, and I also regard Hamas killing Israeli civilians as wrong. You might say Israel’s genocide is far more significantly wrong, and yes I would agree with that, given the scale of suffering caused. But I still think harming civilians is wrong, whether it’s Palestinian civilians, or Israeli civilians, or anyone else.
You’re doing functionally the same thing now, so not very convincing

And that post was in response to your “but what about October 7th!” deflection.

And in 1945 you would have been saying “it’s completely consistent for me to regard the Holocaust as wrong while also regarding the Warsaw ghetto uprising as wrong!”

During the Holocaust you would have always made sure to chide anyone condemning it by pointing out that the Jewish resistance killed civilians too
No I don’t think I would have “always” done that.
