The only way America wouldn’t be here much longer is if a civil war happened (and even then it’d need to end in a stalemate), and there are simply no two sides with the guts to escalate things that far. MAGA and the rest of the far right have it in them to pull such a stunt if their grip on power is challenged, but would the center-left to center-right respond in kind? Absolutely not. Unfortunately America isn’t going anywhere.
So like I said, you need at least two sides willing to escalate things that far before a civil war breaks out. The right is absolutely willing to escalate as much as it needs to get its way, but who else is there? The combined center-right and center-left have done nothing but capitulate. They seem to have no intention to do anything but capitulate (and hold a few parades every year).
