I never really understand these comments. Like what do you all expect exactly? We already think the Republicans are bad. They’re the bad guys. They’re the villains. We expect them to do the bad thing. They’re all fascists who are trying to murder a lot of us.
I just don’t understand what you’re expecting from me with these kind of comments. Congratulations? I mean saying that most of you don’t vote with Republicans is like bragging to me that most of you haven’t raped someone today. You want a cookie?
Jesus Christ buddy, why are you sitting there thinking of rape?
There’s lots of things you don’t understand, like how those “bad-guy” Republicans depend on the “good-guy” Democrats to pass their legislation as a matter of routine.
If you sit at the table with rapists, aren’t you a rapist? Or nazi. Whatever.
They’re the same guys, and those labels demonstrate why this simple “good guy/bad guy” routine is so successful (and has been since the days of Rome).
To be fair to the lemmy leftists in this hypothetical, often when a few dems break rank, that means leadership picked the fewest, safest ones to take the heat. AIPAC and centrist Dems are problematic. (Although lemmy leftists will shit on all Democrats because they want Republican whackjobs to run this country into the ground.)
Exactly. They don’t want it to pass, but they don’t want to taint all their members, so they just choose a few that won’t feel the heat as much. The result is that it passes, so they get what they want without exposing their members to voter anger, and they can claim they were against it, but those damn Republicans keep winning somehow, even when they’re not in power.
Every republican will vote for this and 6 democrats.
Lefties on lemmy will immediately tell you it’s the democrat’s fault.
Always just enough dems for it to happen. Always in safe seats or not running for reelection, always…

I would, yes. If I need to have not raped anyone today to get it? Well, so be it.
As a uniparty they alway find just enough votes for their legislation to pass.

Leftists want our party to stop supporting genocide.
And if we cant have that, then yes we have no choice but to burn it all down.
Why is “no genocide” such an awkward ask in your eyes? why is it so much to ask from dems?
What an absolutely wild conclusion to draw from your premise.

That is absolutely what we want. Thank you for understanding, yes.
those darn democrats!
