It’s probably not; that’s the price of their cooperation. It’s the more or less self-sustaining forward base and intelligence gathering machine in the region that’s in America’s interests. There needs to be an effective stick to keep all the US vassals in line.

And what proof do you have that the US is the one with vassals? Who has benefitted from all this conflict for 80 years? How many operational US military bases are there in Israel, vs in that region but outside Israel?
