Do they actually even make electric wheelchairs for 2 year olds? Wouldn’t they out grow it after dinner?

European Federalists@lemmy.world•The truth about the ‘gender care gap’: are men really more likely to abandon their ill wives?
3·1 day ago21, with no previous alcohol, I hope it wasn’t genetic reasons so you had a good memories from your childhood. That’s good to hear you can manipulate it enough to dress and stuff. I’m sure that feels like nothing sometimes, but the “independence” of it feels like moving mountains when you compare it to other things you’ve had to lose. If your website is a representation of yourself I have to say you seem to be joyful still and a beautiful person despite the challenges you’ve been thrown your way. Like I said before, if you are ever bored or just want to chat, feel free to ping me! You seem like a great person to have around in life

3·1 day agoFeel free to ramble. I enjoy it. You say the one hand is like that, what is mobility like for the other? Help Getting around town seems like you are somewhat capable, and which is good to hear, I feel I’d have tried to figure out what little I could do and become a recluse. You say at this your age, is your website fairly accurate with that? I saw it in your about section. I’m 36 now, so I am assuming you are just a couple years younger than I. Was it recent or in your 20s it occured if it isn’t to personal?

European Federalists@lemmy.world•The truth about the ‘gender care gap’: are men really more likely to abandon their ill wives?
3·1 day agoA lot of people don’t pay much attention to what others are doing, saying, feeling… so while it is possible some may notice, I’m sure much of it is just self-inspection with a dabble of paranoia about not feeling as quick as you were. Not saying you are as quick as you were, but many will not notice like you would.
Hopefully that didn’t come across wrong. If you ever need someone to talk to or just vent, feel free to message me. Sometimes it is nice just to get shit out there.

4·1 day agoOut of curiosity, how are you able to tell you have lost cognitive ability? Does it just feel like thinking with a hangover or what.
Sorry for your loss though.

News@lemmy.world•Missing Virginia football coach wanted on child sexual abuse material charges walked into woods with gun, family says
12·2 days agoTo me it is a toss up, if it was a pistol, probably suicide, if it was a rifle, maybe dude was just heading into the woods to see if he can hide out in the Appalachians living off deer and what not until he gets far enough away from the area they knew he was at.

2·4 days agoThey fucked our healthcare system, so my philosophy is if something bad happens you just don’t pay them if they perform the procedure, and if they don’t you just kill yourself. 300k in healthcare bills, send them $10 a month until you pass away. (If you are paying anything, they legally can’t send them to collections)

12·5 days agoMost people retire at 65+ with a house paid off as well. Spending 125,000 a year in retirement is a crazy amount. I’d have to go on a $15,000 vacation every other month and have $30,000 left over for food. Id call that living large for sure.

Progressive Politics@lemmy.world•It took just under a year for Democrats and Republicans to hand the NLRB over to Republicans
6·5 days agoReading what he said, when would the second vote have taken place? Like he said there were two Republicans that were not present on the 11th so they could have raced Harris back but she didn’t get there till after one of them, but he also states it would have required a secondary vote to occur if they had gotten it done? Why are their 2 votes…

2·5 days agoI mean I could buy a house somewhere in a small town for 250k, and live off 20k a year without issue. That’s what $385 a week. That sets $13,000 a year aside for emergency funds (and property taxes) and/or just growing back the principle to a million. Id probably be able to die at 75 with half a million in the bank
LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.worldtoEconomics@lemmy.world•Even millionaires don't feel wealthy these days
41·5 days agoI’m pretty sure if someone gave me a million dollars as someone who doesn’t have anything in the bank at 36 right now, I could retire tomorrow without an issue. It wouldn’t be a life of luxury, but it would be better than I’m living now

11·5 days agoI wouldn’t care if 1% of the population watched it. The truth is that enough of the population watches it that it is a useful tool to track and dox the population. People in power don’t care who you fuck or don’t fuck, they care how they can use who you fuck against you.

67·9 days agoRemember when a certain company just paid a large fine for pirating information to train AI?
So step 1 should be to remove Internet access to Meta, if you aren’t going to do that, then it is 100% corrupt.

Years ago now there was a young boy in Florida that couldn’t afford a prothstetic because the cost. Some students from The University of Central Florida heard about it and got with mechanical engineering students there and made a 3D printable prosthetic for the boy, with cheap printable growth designs for future years.
It ended up spawning a non-profit tied to the University called Limbitless solutions. They now design free prosthetic designs for hospitals around the country to ensure affordable access for families that need them. Not sure what their quality is like, nor availability… but truly a good story
